Sutton County Contacts

Different offices control Sutton County jail releases, court documents, TDCJ status, parole routing, and VINE notifications. Use the contact that owns the record or event. Calling the wrong office can delay an answer, especially when a local booking ended in transfer.

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible agency below for those services.

Choose the Right Route

Sutton County Sheriff

Sheriff DuWayne Castro
Sutton County Sheriff’s Office and Sutton County Jail
401 E. Oak Street
Sonora, TX 76950
Phone: 325-387-2288
Fax: 325-387-5245

Use this office to confirm the end of a Sutton County Jail booking, ask whether the event was community release or transfer, and learn the current method for requesting the release record or booking photograph. No dedicated records email or office hours were published. Call before visiting.

County and District Clerk

Pam Thorp, Sutton County & District Clerk
Published courthouse address: 300 E. Oak, Suite 3
Sonora, TX 76950
Temporary location noted online: 319 W. Mulberry
Phone: 325-387-3815
Email: county.district_clerk@co.sutton.tx.us
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., open through lunch

Use the Clerk for docket sheets, bond orders, judgments, sentences, dismissals, and certified court copies. The office does not conduct civil or criminal searches by telephone. Call first to verify the current physical location. Court documents can explain why release was authorized, but only the Sheriff can confirm the jail’s physical release event.

112th District Court

Judge Pedro Gomez Jr.
PO Drawer C
Ozona, TX 76943-2502
Phone: 325-392-5225
Fax: 325-392-3434
Email: court112@verizon.net

The court handles judicial business. Request record copies from the County and District Clerk, not from the judge.

TDCJ Status Contacts

Use TDCJ only for Texas state custody or state release processing. The general locator numbers are 936-295-6371 and 800-535-0283. Before a Board of Pardons and Paroles vote, call 844-512-0461. After a favorable vote, release processing is at 512-406-5202. Published telephone hours are Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

For no-charge basic inmate information, email pia@tdcj.texas.gov. TDCJ Public Information Requests may also be mailed to PO Box 4017, Huntsville, TX 77342. These channels do not replace the Sutton Sheriff for an ordinary county bond release.

San Angelo Parole Office

TDCJ San Angelo District Parole Office, Region V
1070 Gateway Drive
San Angelo, TX 76905
Phone: 325-947-8644
Fax: 325-947-8599

This is Sutton County’s state parole and mandatory-supervision route. It is not the office for ordinary court-ordered probation. Use the TDCJ Community Justice Assistance Division locator for the correct multi-county probation department.

Texas VINELink Support

Search through Texas VINELink. Twenty-four-hour support is available at 1-866-277-7477. VINE can report custody-status changes and send alerts when the reporting agency supplies them. Available events and delivery methods vary. For an incorrect status field, contact the agency that provided the data.
